Welcome to the grape room, established in 2006 by Middletown residents Tom and Cathleen Yob. We are family owned and operated, we strive to use the freshest ingredients in our own recipes prepared to order by hand. This takes time and is not the cheapest way to prepare food, but we feel it is the best. We like to call it uncommonly good. When you come to the grape room we want you to know we care. With an extensive menu, warm and friendly dining room and full bar, Newport's The Grape Room restaurant truly has something for everyone. Large portions of creative and classic dishes make for uncommonly good food. Regular diners' Grape Room favorites include the blue cheese stuffed "inside out burger", beer battered lobster tail, veal picatta and meatloaf with prime rib gravy. The Grape Room also features fresh salads, pastas, house-made desserts as well as 11 different side dishes to choose from to accompany your meal. In addition to the regular menu available all night every night is a three course prix fix menu priced at $21.95. Every Sunday night brings a roast prime rib special. Located just outside of Newport, RI in Portsmouth, reservations are accepted and a large free parking lot is just outside the door. Be sure to try the lobster chili!
